Hyundai Creta facelift with Tucson-like front fascia spied

The Hyundai Creta competes with the Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier and MG Hector in the Indian market.

The Hyundai Creta is set to get a major cosmetic update. A new spy image has revealed the SUV's front fascia which looks identical to the 2021 Tucson. The new design is a major departure from the quirky styling of the current model.

The updated Creta gets an almost trapezoidal front grille with three LED daytime running lights on each corner. A set of vertically stacked LED headlights are positioned in separate pods on either side of the bumper.

The Creta could also receive some updates to the rear and possibly to the interiors as well. However, the same cannot be confirmed through the latest image.

At present, the Creta is offered with three engine options. These include a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 113 BHP and 144 Nm, a 1.4-litre, turbo petrol that makes 138 BHP and 242 Nm and a 1.5-litre diesel engine that puts out 113 BHP and 250 Nm. The petrol engines are available with a 6-speed manual, 7-speed DCT and a CVT, while the diesel engine comes with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.

The updated Creta is likely to make its debut in the international market first.
