Hyundai i20 facelift continues testing in South Korea

The Hyundai i20 facelift is expected to make its debut sometime in late 2023.

The Hyundai i20 which has been on sale in India since November 2020 is now due for an update. New spy images of the i20 facelift have surfaced online, which suggest that the car could make its global debut in the near future.

The upcoming i20 facelift is expected to get a few cosmetic updates on the outside. These are likely to include a revised front fascia. The test car appears to have a low-slung trapezoidal grille and sharper-looking headlamps.

The heavy camouflage on the rear of the car is an indication that the new i20 might get some design changes in this area as well. Perhaps we could see new tail lamp clusters with V-shaped LEDs.

The i20 facelift is likely to carry forward the existing 1.2-litre petrol and 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engines, while the 1.5-litre diesel unit might be discontinued.
