My Jeep compass Diesel AT 4x4 is about to complete 3 years in a few months now. Had taken extended warranty for the 4th and 5th year when I bought the car way back in 2022.
And now Stellantis along with the dealers have offered 6th and 7th year extended warranty. Thanks to the Bangalore Jeep Club administrators, we have been offered some discounts as well.
For a car like the Compass which has some pretty expensive parts, this 6th and 7th year warranty is a great option. And more so for people like me who are sure to hold on to the car for 7 years at the bare minimum. Ideally, I switch cars every 5-6 years on an average, but the Jeep Compass diesel 4x4 AT is the most expensive car (costed me 34L way back in 2022) I have bought by a big margin.
Plus, for various personal and professional reasons, my day to day car usage has come down drastically, I try and use public transportation due to the maddening Bangalore traffic (also thanks to a metro station at my doorstep) and hence i have just covered less than 20k in nearly 2.5 years.
And I don't see myself upgrading to a much more expensive car in the near future and neither am I going to trade the rock solid Jeep Compass for some electric car too (which probably is the future, but I'm going to make that switch as late as possible). Hence went ahead and bought this 6th and 7th year extended warranty, it's expensive at around 67k, but I believe its worth it, cause there can be some complex issues and expensive spare parts along the way, especially this being a 4x4 diesel AT.
