Jeep Compass facelift teaser images out ahead of unveil

The Compass facelift is likely to come with Level 2 Autonomous driving technology.

Jeep has released a set of teaser images of the Compass facelift ahead of its official unveiling.

The updated Compass will get a revised grille that appears to be slimmer than the outgoing model. Other changes include slimmer LED headlights and a redesigned front bumper. The teaser also reveals a chunky skid plate that adds to the rugged look of the SUV.

Besides the exterior updates the Compass will also get a redesigned interior. The most notable change here is the 10.1-inch floating touchscreen infotainment head-unit. The SUV could also get a digital instrument cluster among other minor updates.

In India, the updated Compass will retain the same set of engines as before. These include the 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel that produces 170 BHP and 350 Nm and the 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine that makes 161 BHP and 250 Nm.

The Compass facelift is likely to come with Level 2 Autonomous driving technology, which includes systems like highway assist, traffic jam assist, traffic sign recognition, lane keep assist, active blind-spot assist and driver attention alert.
