Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR to be launched in India

According to a media report, Kawasaki is gearing up to launch the Ninja ZX-4RR in India. While the report doesn’t mention the exact date, the launch is said to be imminent.

The Ninja ZX-4RR is a sportbike with racing credentials. The bike will be imported as a CBU and will be available in limited numbers. The report also claims that some Kawasaki dealers have already started accepting bookings.

The Ninja ZX-4RR is powered by a 399cc, liquid-cooled, inline-4 engine that produces 79 BHP @ 14,500 rpm and 39 Nm @ 13,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox via a bi-directional quickshifter and a slipper clutch.

The bike is based on a steel trellis frame with a 37 mm Showa SFF-BP fork at the front and an adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by dual 290 mm front discs and a 220 mm disc at the rear.

The Ninja ZX-4RR is equipped with a 4.3-inch digital instrument console It has four riding modes – Sports, Road, Rain and Rider, two power models and a traction control system with three settings.
