Wow, that is a Beauty.

How do you plan on evading the cops? I believe there is an INR 10K fine for any mods.

Mumbai is not that strict on exhausts unless it's something crazy loud. I have a full system exhaust but cops rarely give me a second look as I don't go around revving the heck out of the bike to create a racket.

The only time they look at me is if there is a drive to catch people. Usually bike groups on Whatsapp inform in advance of any planned drives so you avoid taking out the bike on such days.

Places like Bangalore are a LOT more strict and have regular drives to catch people using exhausts so over there it's not really an option to use a bike with a modified exhaust.

After riding it for 500 kms I feel they should have at least offered the quick shifter as a part of the standard package.
Does it come with a slipper clutch as standard? What India gets is the base 4R and not even the SE. SE and 4RR will push the cost by 1 and 2L as in the other markets the ZX4RR cost is very close to the 6R pricing. In India, the base version is 3L cheaper than the 6R.

A bidirectional quick-shifter is available as an option on the base model.
Based on the first post of this thread, it does say it can be added as an option. Can Kashifh83 confirm?

I too own a Ninja ZX-4R. Yes, it does come with an assist and slipper clutch as standard. The clutch is light and comfortable to use.. has got just the right feel to it.

A bidirectional quickshifter can be installed in the ZX-4R Standard variant.
I have enquired regarding the same to my sales advisor. From what I understood, it is not readily stocked by dealers probably due to the cost involved (not sure.. maybe ₹50 - 70K).

Yes you are absolutely right. It costs exactly 74560 to add an optional bi-directional quick shifter. The same thing costs 31k in Canada as per Kawasaki’s Canadian website. It’s too much IMO. Enthusiasts who are interested in track days can obviously opt for it.

Re: Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R, now launched at 8.49 lakh

Went to Cochin from Trivandrum on 2nd March to get the 1st service done. Returned back the next day. I left very early in the morning from Trivandrum and Cochin.

Covered a total distance of 448 kms (the odo showed 500 kms when I left Trivandrum). Since it was run-in period, I rode accordingly. The ride was great and i enjoyed the most part. Near Cochin a long flyover (don't know if its part of Metro) is under construction and hence the traffic there was very slow moving.

When i reached back home, checked the FE and it showed an average of 26.1 km/L

Sharing some photos.

Re: Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R, now launched at 8.49 lakh

Kawasaki Motors Corp., USA has issued a safety recall for the Ninja ZX-4R.
Reason for the recall is that the spark plugs may have been damaged during the vehicle manufacturing process and it may result in unstable idle, hesitation and engine stalling.

Need to see if India Kawasaki Motors issues a similar recall. My ZX-4R is not having such problems, grateful for that.

Ride safe.
