Kawasaki Vulcan S BS6 launched at Rs. 5.79 lakh

The Kawasaki Vulcan S is now available with a BS6-compliant engine. The bike is now priced at Rs. 5.79 lakh (ex-showroom).

The biggest change on the Vulcan S is its engine. The 649cc, parallel twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor has been updated to comply with BS6 emission regulations. It produces 60 BHP @ 7,500 rpm and 62.4 Nm @ 6,600 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The bike gets 41 mm telescopic fork suspension at the front and has an off-set monoshock at the rear. The braking setup consists of a single 300 mm disc brake at the front and a 250 mm disc brake at the rear. The bike also features Kawasaki's Ergofit system which enables customers to set the position of the handlebar and foot pegs as per their liking.

The Vulcan S BS6 is available in a new colour option - Metallic Flat Raw Greystone that has black and red highlights. It also gets red pinstripes on the wheels.
