Kia closing the gap to Tata, just 618 units behind 3rd place

In just over a year, Kia Motors is close to becoming the 3rd largest carmaker after Maruti and Hyundai in India.

Sales numbers for the month of November have been released. Kia Motors numbers stand at 21,022 units, just 618 units behind the 3rd placed Tata.

Kia dispatched 11,417 units of the Sonet, 9,205 units of the Seltos and 400 units of the Carnival. In comparison, from the Tata stable, Altroz, Nexon and Tiago led the dispatches with 6,260, 6,021 and 5,890 units respectively. Tigor numbers stood at 1,259 units while the Harrier dispatches came in at 2,210 units.

In just over a year, Kia Motors is close to becoming the 3rd largest carmaker after Maruti and Hyundai in India. Earlier this month, Kia become the quickest manufacturer to turn operationally profitable in India.
