Kia rolls out first Syros from its Anantapur plant

Kia has already received 10,258 bookings for the Syros.

Production of the Kia Syros has commenced at the brand’s Anantapur facility in Andhra Pradesh. The first unit recently rolled off the assembly line.

Pre-bookings for the Kia Syros opened on January 3, and already 10,258 cars have been booked. Prices will be announced on February 1, 2025.

The Kia Syros is based on a reinforced K1 platform. It will be available in six variants and comes equipped with sliding and reclining rear seats with segment-first ventilated front and rear seats. The car also gets a 30-inch dual-screen layout with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera and Level 2 ADAS.

The Kia Syros will be offered with a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT and a 1.5-litre diesel mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic.
