Lamborghini Veneno Roadster premiers on aircraft carrier

Lamborghini displayed its new Veneno Roadster on the 240 metre long Italian naval aircraft carrier, Nave Cavour, docked at the Mina Zayed port, Abu Dhabi.

The Veneno Roadster is a topless version of the Veneno coupe, which was shown at the Geneva Motor Show, 2013. In keeping with Lamborghini tradition, the car has outlandish styling and power to match. Each customer will be able to select an individualized colour for his Roadster.

The Veneno Roadster is powered by a 6.5 litre V12 engine, which pumps out 750 hp, which helps the car accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in just 2.9 seconds. Lamborghini claims that the car can reach a top speed of 355 kph.

With a carbon-fibre dominated construction, the Veneno Roadster has a dry weight of just 1490 kg. The car is equipped with carbon-ceramic brakes and permanent all-wheel drive.

With just nine units to be built in 2014, the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster will be one of the most exclusive cars on the road. Like most limited production supercars, this one sports an astronomical price tag – 3.3 million Euros!
