Mahindra eKUV100 EV to be launched by end-2022

Mahindra aims to take on Tata Motors with the eKUV100 and the all-electric XUV300.

According to a media report, Mahindra is likely to launch the eKUV100 electric crossover in the Indian market by the end of this year. It is believed that the EV could be introduced as the e2o.

The eKUV100 was first presented at the 2020 Auto Expo. At the time, Mahindra had priced the EV at Rs. 8.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), including the FAME subsidy.

The report states that the eKUV100 is now in the final stage of development. However, it is facing a few issues in terms of range. It is believed that Mahindra is targeting a range of at least 250 km and a sub-Rs. 10 lakh price tag, making it the most affordable EV in India.

With the eKUV100 and the all-electric XUV300, Mahindra aims to take on Tata Motors, which currently controls over 70% market share in the Indian EV space.
