Mahindra Mojo bookings open at Rs. 10,000

From highly anticipated to highly frustrating, the Mahindra Mojo's launch has been delayed long enough for a second generation model to come through. The spy shots continue to pour in and BHPian neil.jericho has already had an opportunity to test a pre-production vehicle (Read about it here). Dealers have now confirmed that bookings for the Mojo have been opened at Rs. 10,000/-.

Deliveries of the motorcycle will be on a first-come-first-serve basis. Sources say that Mahindra has allocated a very limited number of units all over India (approximately 100 in the first batch) with dealers in tier-I cities such as Mumbai and Delhi receiving delivery first. In all likelihood, Mahindra is looking to test the waters before going all out. Many dealers have stated that the motorcycle has been ready for nearly a year, but Mahindra wanted to see how buyers respond to the Gusto, given that it is in a faster moving segment. We certainly hope Mahindra doesn't dampen the Mojo's chances by selling the product at unreasonable waiting periods.

Test ride vehicles may arrive in the 3rd week of September (if not sooner) with the price announcement expected at the same time. Deliveries are expected to begin around the 1st week of October.
