Mahindra Scorpio-N spotted testing in Japan

The SUV may have been imported either by an OEM or a Mahindra supplier for testing purposes.

A heavily camouflaged test mule of the Mahindra Scorpio-N has been spotted in Japan.

The Scorpio-N caught the attention of Japanese car enthusiasts when it was being transported on a flatbed. The SUV may have been imported either by an OEM or a Mahindra supplier for testing purposes.

The test car appears to be one of the top variants. It seems to be equipped with dual-tone alloy wheels, roof rails, a rear spoiler and a wiper. Inside, the top-spec Scorpio-N features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, electric sunroof, wireless charging, cruise control and a rearview camera, among others.

In India, the Scorpio-N comes with two engine options: a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with 198 BHP / 380 Nm and a 2.2-litre diesel producing 173 BHP / 400 Nm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic.
