Mahindra U321 MPV interior spied

More spy images of the upcoming Mahindra MPV (codenamed U321) have surfaced online. The spy images reveal some parts of the interior and what could be the production-spec bodywork of the vehicle.

The spy images suggest that Mahindra's rival for the Innova gets a new dashboard layout, a new three-spoke steering wheel and a touchscreen infotainment system. The touchscreen sits on what appears to be a piano black centre fascia. The climate control switches are placed below it, while a pair of trapezoidal air-conditioner vents are located right at the top of the centre fascia. The rotary knobs for the climate control and the air volume controllers for the air-conditioner vents have chrome inserts on them.

Like other MPVs, the U321 gets a steeply raked windshield and a thick A-pillar. Higher variants of the car are expected to get projector lamps, fog lamps with LED DRLs, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs and alloy wheels. Earlier sightings of the Mahindra MPV test mules indicate that the vehicle gets disc brakes on all-wheels.

According to media reports, the Mahindra MPV is likely to get a new 1.6-litre diesel engine. This engine is believed to be from the mFalcon family of engines.
