Mercedes-AMG G 63 'Edition 463' launched at Rs. 2.17 crore

A special edition model of the Mercedes-AMG G 63 has been launched in India. Called the 'Edition 463', this new model is priced at Rs. 2.17 crore (ex-showroom, Pune). The G63 Edition 463 was globally introduced in 2015 to celebrate 35 years of the introduction of the G-Class.

On the outside, the Edition 463 retains the G 63's boxy looks, but comes with some additional styling elements. The exteriors get 21-inch 5 twin-spoke alloys with matte black finish, AMG Sport strips on the flanks, dark aluminium finished exterior protective strips and a stainless-steel underride guard.

The interiors feature a single-tone dashboard layout with black designo leather upholstery. AMG carbon-fibre inserts have been added on different areas of the cabin. The special edition model also gets colour coordinated stitching on dashboard, front and rear door handles, armrest, handbrake, seat covers and head restraints.

No mechanical changes have been made to the G 63 Edition 463. It is powered by a supercharged 5.5-litre, V8-engine that develops 563 BHP @ 5,500 rpm and 760 Nm of torque @ 5,000 rpm. Mercedes claims a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 5.4 seconds for the SUV, while its top speed is rated at 210 km/h. The vehicle boasts of a load capacity of up to 2,250 litres and a towing capacity of up to 3,500 kg.
