Mercedes-Benz GLA facelift launched at Rs 50.50 lakh

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA comes in two trims – AMG Line and Progressive Line.

Mercedes-Benz has launched the GLA facelift in India. The updated SUV is available in three variants, with prices starting at Rs 50.50 lakh (ex-showroom).

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA comes in two trims – AMG Line and Progressive Line. The SUV receives subtle changes on the exterior, which include new LED headlights, LED tail lights and body-coloured aero elements on the front and wheel arches.

The GLA AMG Line gets a unique front grille and bumper, a roof spoiler and an AMG rear apron with a diffuser and dual exhaust tips. The SUV rides on 19-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the updated GLA gets dual screens with Mercedes’ latest MBUX infotainment system, offering wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a new 3-spoke steering wheel and illuminated star pattern trim on the dashboard. 

The AMG Line gets a bit of a sporty touch on the interior. The SUV features a flat-bottom steering wheel, sports seats and carbon-structure trim on the dashboard.

The GLA is available with two engine options. The GLA 200 is powered by a 1.3-litre petrol engine that makes 161 BHP and 270 Nm. It is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. 

The GLA 220d 4Matic comes with a 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 188 BHP and 400 Nm and is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The claimed fuel efficiency figures of the petrol and diesel engines are 17.4 km/l and 18.9 km/l, respectively.

The 2024 GLA is equipped with a hands-free tailgate, Active park assist with a 360-degree camera, 7-airbags, Blind Spot Assist, Active Brake Assist, Adaptive High Beam Assist and Pedestrian Protection. The GLA 220d 4Matic gets the Off-road engineering package as standard.
