Mercedes GLA, GLE Coupe facelift India launch on January 31

The carmaker could also introduce the sportier AMG GLA35 sometime in the near future.

Mercedes-Benz has announced it plans to launch the updated version of the GLA and GLE Coupe in India on January 31, 2024.

The GLA facelift is based on the second-generation model. It gets subtle exterior updates, including new LED headlights, LED taillights and revised wheel arches. Inside, the SUV comes with Mercedes' latest MBUX infotainment system offering wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.

In India, Mercedes is likely to offer the GLA facelift with a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol and 2.0-litre diesel engine options. The carmaker could also introduce the sportier AMG GLA35 sometime in the near future.

Having launched the GLE facelift last year, the carmaker is now gearing up to introduce the updated GLE Coupe in the Indian market.

Mercedes will only offer the AMG GLE53 Coupe in India. It is expected to be powered by a 3.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. The engine produces 429 BHP and is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system.
