Mercedes-Benz to set up 'AMG Speed City' in India

Mercedes-Benz has also confirmed that they plan to launch two new AMG models in India this year.

Mercedes-Benz recently announced its best-ever quarter and its highest fiscal sales in India. With its high-end performance models in demand, the carmaker has decided to set up ‘AMG Speed City’ for performance enthusiasts.

AMG Speed City will provide enthusiasts and customers alike, a chance to hone their driving skills. Drivers will be able to explore the limits of their AMGs under the guidance of trained instructors. It will be conducted by AMG experts from Renger Racing, trained at Affalterbach, Germany.

Mercedes-Benz has also confirmed that they plan to launch two new AMG models in India this year. First up is the C 63 S e-Performance – a high-performance version of the C-Class. It is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with an electric motor and a 6.1 kWh battery pack. It packs 671 BHP and 1,020 Nm.

The second model is the S 63 e-Performance, powered by a 4.0-litre V8 paired with an electric motor and a 13.1 kWh battery. The engine produces 791 BHP and 1,430 Nm. Both cars get a 9-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system.
