MG Gloster facelift caught testing in India for the first time

The MG Gloster facelift could be launched sometime next year as a rival to the Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq and Jeep Meridian.

The MG Gloster has been on sale since 2020 and is now due for an update. The camouflaged test mule of the SUV was recently spotted in India, which suggests that the Gloster facelift could be just around the corner.

As per the latest spy images, the Gloster is likely to get a redesigned rear end with new taillights, bumper and repositioned reflectors. The heavily camouflaged test mule also sports dual exhaust tips, side steps and diamond-cut alloy wheels.

The MG Gloster facelift is expected to be offered with the same set of engines as the outgoing version. These include a 2.0-litre diesel that puts out 161 BHP and 375 Nm and a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel that makes 215 BHP and 480 nm. Both engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
