MG ZS EV facelift caught testing in India

The MG ZS EV will compete with the long-range version of the Tata Nexon EV with the 44.5 kWh battery.

Spy images of the MG ZS EV facelift testing in India have surfaced online. The refreshed electric SUV could be launched later this year.

The updated ZS EV features a similar design to the petrol-powered MG Astor. While the electric version gets a blanked-out grille, the rear is identical to the Astor. The EV also gets different alloy wheels.

Under the skin, the 2022 ZS EV packs a 51 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that is said to offer a maximum range of 317 km. In the international market, MG also offers a 72 kWh battery that has a range of 437 km.

In India, the ZS EV is currently offered with a 44.5 kWh battery that has a range of 419 km on a single charge. The electric motor delivers 141 BHP and 353 Nm.
