The upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 has been spotted once again. This time, a test mule of the new ADV was seen in the UK.
The Himalayan 450 appears to be a more serious off-roader compared to the Himalayan 411. It has a round headlamp with a short windscreen and a crash guard at the front. The bike rides on wire-spoke wheels and is equipped with upside-down fork suspension at the front and a mono-shock at the rear.
The Himalayan 450 is said to be based on the K1 platform and is expected to be powered by a long-stroke, low-revving single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. The motor is estimated to produce around 40 BHP and 40 Nm. It could be paired with a 6-speed gearbox via a slip and assist clutch.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is expected to be unveiled sometime next year and could go on sale in India soon after.
