Clicked by this friend on the ECR mentioned that the bike kept pulling away even after 120 kph. Seems to have a KTMish kind of flat cylindrical exhaust and a familiar note. There's a video as well but looks like Tbhp doesn't have an option to upload one

Render pics by RushLane based on the spy shots seen regularly on numerous occasions.

Some assumed features based on the render pics:
All new engine
Reshaped fuel tank
Revised split seats
Liquid cooling system
40bhp power

Will be good if some basic features are added:
Bloothtooth connectivity
A proper full screen turn by turn navigation
Ride by wire
Riding modes (road, rain at least)

Few retained features:
21 inch front wheel and 17 inch rear wheel
5-speed gear box

I honestly am curious as to what is gained by riding modes. It makes sense for monstrous 150 hp bikes as you'd rather not have that much power over slippery surfaces, but for a 40 bhp bikes it's
Just because big or more expensive bikes have them doesn't mean everyone needs them. And at this rate 4 years later TVS will need to offer riding modes on the latest Splendor.

As for bluetooth and navigation and the like I'd rather not have it. Knowing RE they'd make a muddle of it and you'd end up just having to use Google maps on the phone. They're just more electronic things that can go wrong.

If you look at the Himalayan US owners group on facebook, one reason why a lot of people say they got the bike is because it feels to them much simpler, mechanical and relatively easier to work on than most other modern bikes. In a country where servicing costs a lot, that makes sense. A brand new 390 adv poses too many challenges to service on one's own. Of course this is not as much a factor in India, but still I imagine RE keeps an eye on what makes their bikes sell well abroad and would not mess with the basic DNA too much.

If it were up to me I'd rather RE offer a big air cooled single and extract the most power they can out of it and keep the weight as low as they can. Kind of like a bigger Xpulse. If they make it too much like the 390 adv it would end up costing that much too, which takes away the point of the bike.

A few hours back MCN posted a few shots of the Himalayan "Rally" while it was out testing in the UK.

Looks a bit odd. Something about the top half doesn't seem right, maybe it'll look alright with a rider aboard?

But the bottom half looks juicy. High GC, long suspension travel. Hope they hit the rumored power figures. If they do they certainly have another global hit for sure.

re: 2023 Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 | Now officially revealed

I love the design. It looks like a refined version of the original Himalayan - function over form. I have complete faith that it won’t terrible quality issues from launch considering the smooth J series lineup launch (and even to an extent the 650 twins). I’m glad I held off on an impulsive purchase of an Xpulse 200.

The news of a higher capacity ADV from Hero is also exciting. Solid ADV offering from Indian manufacturers like these have made me stop saving up for a Tiger or a GS.

I just hope the weight remains the same (or under) as the 411s. The trellis frame and higher spec components gives me that hope.

They can now, but there isn't anywhere left to sell such a bike. Rejigging the DR to pass modern emissions regulations would mean increasing its weight, lowering its power, by which point you're not really left with a simple and supremely reliable machine anymore.

This looks like a love child between the Himalayan and the Pan America. Which isn't a bad thing at all!

Let's just hope the weight remains in check and all other traits of the himmie get carried over!

re: 2023 Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 | Now officially revealed

I think it looks like nothing else on the market right now, other than the Himalayan 411. Looks minimalist, the missing side panel makes me think that RE has taken weight saving seriously. The write up says it even gets a right-side-mounted rear mono shock. Looks like RE has left no stone unturned to make it one of the most advanced and featured packed ADV motorcycle in the segment. The only feature missing is the tubeless wire spoke wheel, RE should definitely offer them atleast as an accessory. Looking forward for new spy shots on the scrambler variant of this ADV.

re: 2023 Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 | Now officially revealed

How it looks is all fine, the million dollar question with Royal Enfield always is whether it will perform without breaking down or without the normal niggles which subjects an owner to pain and throws them to the mercy of the unresponsive and inept service centre

Cheers

They have put foam pieces on top of tank to hide curves/creases of tank.
