MS Dhoni buys a 1974 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am

MS Dhoni has added a 1974 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am to his car collection.

This particular car is powered by a 6.6L V8 engine paired to a 4-speed manual transmission. It comes with a custom red paint with white stripes, shaker hood, Nappa leather upholstery, 17-inch Shelby American Racing Wheels shod with continental tyres, all four disc brakes, and a Blaupunkt audio system.

The Firebird was launched in 1967 as a pony car to compete with the Ford Mustang and the Mercury Cougar. It shares its platform with the Chevrolet Camaro. Dhoni's car is the second-generation model, which was launched in 1970. The Trans Am was a special package that added an upgraded suspension and more horsepower. It also included minor exterior modifications like exclusive hoods, spoilers, fog lights and wheels.
