After visiting Dhikala for the first time in March 2020, I keep on visiting again. I completed my fifth trip to Dhikala in December 2024. It was the first time I visited Dhikala in peak winters of December, earlier I had been there in February, March, November and May.
I must say Dhikala enhances the beauty of every season, and one must experience winter, foggy conditions of Dhikala. Although, the chances of sighting a tiger dwindle in winter, but this is one Tiger Reserve where the cliche "Jungle is much more than Tiger" fits more appropriately than any other reserves in India.
This trip became more special for me as I drove down to Jim Corbett in my newly acquired Thar 3D Convertible Top. Taking Thar Convertible for my first trip to a National Park felt right for some reason even though it was not allowed to do safari in your personal vehicle there.
Though we didn't spot a Tiger (very rare in a two night trip to Dhikala), but the beauty as usual kept us busy in the four safaris that we did.
