New Bajaj Avenger spied; launch soon

Thank you to BHPian Sudeep_Kimster for sharing these images with other enthusiasts!

Earlier this year, we had reported that Bajaj is gearing up to launch a refreshed version of the Avenger. Now, spy images of the motorcycle have surface on the internet.

From the images, the new Avenger has restyled handlebars, a new exhaust and a wind deflector. The bike is expected to be powered by the same engine as the current Avenger. This is a 219.89cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled unit with an oil cooler that puts out 19.03 BHP @ 8,400 rpm and 17.5 Nm of torque @ 7,000 rpm.

A second set of images reveal another variant of the Avenger. The styling of this variant appears to be influenced by the Harley-Davidson Street 750. It has a black paint job with new decals and alloy wheels. The "Street" sticker on the side panel suggests that Bajaj could name this bike the Avenger Street. The engine, exhaust pipe, fork and wheels are finished in black and the rear grab handle does not get a cushioned backrest.

The bike is believed to be powered by the 200cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled engine from the Pulsar 200NS. The unit develops 23 BHP @ 9,500 rpm and 18.3 Nm of torque @ 8,000 rpm and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

Bajaj is rumoured to be working on a third variant of the Avenger as well. This variant is likely to be powered by the 180cc engine from the Pulsar 180.
