Nexa Sangli fails to provide accessories

We experienced the grim reality of using all tricks up the sleeves to sell a product including false promises to provide accessories without checking the inventory.

bhpindian recently shared this with other BHPians.

After 9 long years, our i10 Sportz Kappa2 with 84,000 km on the odo was sold off two months back. We were not eager to undergo anticipated future repairs so sold it off when we got a decent offer. The hunt for a city hatchback began which could be used by five out of six drivers in the family, including 2 ladies.

Test drove S-Presso, i10 Nios turbo, Polo TSI and Ignis over a period of 2 months. Finalised Ignis and quotation was requested for Sigma variant.

The sales representative gave a decent quote with discount. To fill in the shortcomings of the base variant, a request for accessories was also made after going through Nexa website and configurator.

The sales representative gave the quote for all the accessories with car and booking was done. The delivery was scheduled one month after the whole amount was paid, in January 2021. We ordered according to the Nexa website and made up our mind for the proposed look with the accessories paid upfront. The woes started after the full payment when Nexa Sangli sales representatives started giving reasons for unavailability of accessories.

They included (price quoted):

  • Alloy wheels (Rs. 24000)
  • Wheel arch cladding with front bumper spoiler kit (Rs. 14999)
  • Floor mats (Rs. 690)
  • Interior styling kit (Rs. 2,490)

The reasons stated for unavailability:

  • Model updated in 2020 so accessories not compatible
  • New accessories not available due to COVID
  • NEXA website is not updated and has dated accessories (contrasting reason no. 1)
  • Order placed but in progress
  • Clueless about any such accessories

Only the alloy wheels showed to us two months prior and paid for one month prior were made available with many efforts in a timely manner. Only the rear spoiler from the wheel arch kit was made available. The interior styling kit, which was ordered in titanium silver trim, was fitted with blue ones incorrectly. Only the floor mats and number plate holder were readily available and promptly sold as ordered. We were pretty disappointed on this front but overall the arrival of the new Ignis Sigma Silver in our garage was satisfactory. We experienced the grim reality of using all tricks up the sleeves to sell a product including false promises to provide accessories without checking the inventory by NEXA Sangli under Chougule Industries Ltd.
