Next-gen Ford Mustang spied ahead of 2023 unveil

There are also rumours of an all-electric version of the Mustang sometime in the near future.

The next-generation Ford Mustang has been in development for a while now. Now, a new set of spy images are doing the rounds showcasing the upcoming model wearing production-spec panels for the first time.

The next-gen Mustang in the spy shots are still heavily wrapped but do reveal subtle details of the upcoming model. These include a slightly larger grille upfront, sleek LED headlamps on either side and a more angular front-end, compared to the current generation. The side and rear profiles remain similar to that of the current-gen, albeit with a few subtle updates and revisions all around.

However, the most significant updates expected on the next-gen Ford Mustang is under the bonnet. The upcoming model is expected to come with a hybrid powertrain and an all-wheel-drive setup, both of which are a first for the iconic muscle car. There are also rumours of an all-electric version of the Mustang sometime in the near future.

The next-gen Ford Mustang is expected to have its global debut sometime in late-2023, with production and retail said to start in early-2024. However, Ford is yet to make an official announcement of the same.
