Next-gen Honda CR-V spied; To receive significant updates

The brand could reveal the SUV sometime in mid-2022, with its launch slated by the year-end.

The next-generation Honda CR-V is set to get significant cosmetic updates. The spy images indicate a completely new design, bringing it in line with some of its smaller siblings.

Reports suggest that the next-gen CR-V will mainly receive cosmetic updates. Although, it could come underpinned by an evolved version of the Compact Global Platform, used on the current model.

Talking about the design, the spy shots of the next-gen Honda CR-V showcase the SUV featuring a wider hexagonal grille upfront, new LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, a straight roofline and a revised set of LED tail lights. The interior is also expected to receive significant updates, including a revamped cabin with an all-new infotainment system at the centre.

There is no official timeline for the unveiling of the next-generation Honda CR-V yet. However, reports do suggest the brand could reveal the SUV sometime in mid-2022, with its launch slated by the year-end.
