Next-gen Maruti Celerio spied undisguised

The new Celerio has a more rounded rear fascia and redesigned tail lamp clusters.

The first undisguised test mule of the Maruti Celerio has been caught testing.

The spy image suggests that the new Celerio will get a more rounded rear fascia. It has redesigned wraparound tail lamps and a new rear bumper that has integrated reflectors. The handle for the boot release is positioned below the Suzuki logo, just like in the old car. On the interior, the car is expected to get a touchscreen infotainment head-unit, 3-spoke steering wheel and a basic instrument cluster.

The new Celerio will be based on the Heartect platform that underpins the WagonR and S-Presso. The car looks larger in size compared to the current model and could also get larger diameter wheels.

Maruti is expected to offer the new Celerio with 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre petrol engine options, while transmission options might include a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT.
