Next-gen Nissan Kicks revealed ahead of NY Auto Show

The new Nissan Kicks shares its underpinnings with the Mitsubishi XForce.

Nissan has taken the wraps off the second-generation Kicks. The SUV will make its public debut at the 2024 New York Auto Show.

The new Nissan Kicks shares its underpinnings with the Mitsubishi XForce. The new generation has grown in size, making it longer and wider than its predecessor.

The new Kicks features a sporty and imposing exterior design. It has a wide grille flanked by 4-piece LED DRLs and slim LED headlights. It has a coupe-like roofline with a black C-pillar and a short rear overhang. The rear fascia gets a rather unique design with L-shaped tail lamp clusters connected by a black trim piece. The Kicks has flared wheel arches and rides on 19-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the new Nissan Kicks features a double-layered dashboard design with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the centre. It comes with a 3-spoke steering wheel and a digital instrument cluster. Safety features include automatic emergency braking, blind spot warning, adaptive cruise control and more.

The Nissan Kicks is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 139 BHP and 190 Nm. The engine is paired with Nissan’s Xtronic CVT and will be available with either front-wheel drive or AWD configurations.
