Nissan Patrol coming to India

Back in October 2014, we had reported that Japanese auto major Nissan, was studying the viability of bringing the Patrol, its luxury SUV, to India (click here to read report). Now, according to media reports, the company is gearing up to introduce the vehicle in the country.

The Patrol is expected to be powered by a 5.6-litre, V8 petrol engine capable of putting out close to 400 bhp and 560 Nm of torque. It is likely to come with a seven-speed automatic gearbox.

The Patrol has a ladder frame chassis and a permanent four-wheel drive system. Like all luxury SUVs, it is expected to be loaded with features. The big SUV shares a lot of parts with the Infiniti QX45.

The Patrol is Nissan's competitor to the Toyota Land Cruiser, Mercedes GL and Audi Q7. It will be imported as a CBU and is expected to be priced over Rs. 1 crore.
