Okinawa has recalled its Praise Pro model following reports of its electric scooters catching fire.

3,215 units of the Praise Pro have been recalled to check for potential issues with the battery. Okinawa dealers will reach out to customers to notify them about the recall. In addition to inspecting the battery, technicians will also check for damage and loose connectors.

There have been multiple incidents of e-scooters catching fire in the recent past. It's not just Okinawa, but videos of an Ola S1 Pro instantly catching fire have also surfaced online.

Okinawa's announcement comes just days after Niti Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant stated that manufacturers should voluntarily recall the affected batch of vehicles.
