Range Rover Velar spotted in Goa

The new Range Rover Velar has been spotted yet again. Land Rover’s newest addition to the Range Rover lineup was recently spotted in Goa.

The spy images suggest that the Velar might be offered with a black exterior styling package comprising of a black front grille and bumper with black strakes on either side. The 5-spoke alloy wheels have also been finished in black, as is the roof. Also note that this version comes with black emblems. It seems likely that Land Rover might offer this styling package on the ‘First Edition’.

Earlier spy shots had revealed that lower-end variants of the Velar could get similar 5-spoke alloy wheels albeit in a silver finish, chrome grille and gloss black rear trim.

The Velar is likely to be offered with a choice of petrol and diesel engines. Two variants of the 2.0-litre petrol are expected to be offered with each producing 247 BHP and 296 BHP respectively. The 2.0-litre diesel makes 177 BHP and 430 Nm of torque, while the 3.0-litre diesel produces 296 BHP and 700 Nm of peak torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive is likely to be standard across the range.

Land Rover is expected to launch the new Range Rover Velar in India in the near future, although there has been no official announcement yet.
