Renault is said to be gearing up to launch the Kiger on February 15, 2021.

The Kiger is based on the CMF-A+ platform. The crossover is equipped with a V-shaped grille flanked by LED daytime running lights, while the triple pod LED headlamps are positioned lower down on the front bumper.

The car also gets a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, ambient lighting, PM 2.5 air filter, hands-free smart access card and a parking camera.

The Kiger is powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 99 BHP and 160 Nm @ 3,200 rpm. It will also be offered with a naturally aspirated 1.0-litre petrol motor producing 71 BHP and 96 Nm @ 3,500 rpm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, 5-speed CVT (Turbo-Petrol only) and a 5-speed AMT (NA Petrol only).

Earlier this week, Renault had announced that production of the Kiger had commenced at its Chennai facility and had started dispatching the first lot of cars to dealerships across India.
