Renault Kiger teased ahead of global debut

The production version retains the striking headlamp design of the concept car.

Renault has released a teaser image of the upcoming Kiger crossover. The new model is scheduled to make its global debut on January 28, 2021.

The Kiger is based on the CMF-A+ platform. The same platform underpins the Nissan Magnite crossover. The car was designed by the Corporate design team in France and Renault India design. The teaser image suggests that the car will retain the triple-pod headlights and slim LED daytime running lights of the concept car.

In India, the Kiger will be offered with a turbocharged petrol engine. It is likely to be the same 1.0-litre, turbo-petrol unit that powers the Magnite. It produces 99 BHP and 160 Nm. Just like its sister car, the Kiger could also get a 5-speed manual and a CVT option.
