Renault Kwid facelift launched at Rs. 2.83 lakh

Renault has launched the Kwid facelift priced from Rs. 2,83,290 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The new Kwid measures 3,731 mm in length, 1,579 mm in width and 1,474 / 1,490 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,422 mm and a ground clearance of 184 mm. The car comes with a 28-litre fuel tank.

The Kwid facelift gets a redesigned front end featuring a new grille with chrome inserts and slim LED daytime running lights on either side. The main headlamp clusters are placed in separate pods lower down. The headlamp pods have grey surrounds. It has a dual-tone front bumper with a grey lip.

Moving to the side, the new Kwid has grey wheel arch cladding and plastic scratch protectors on the doors. The car has orange ORVMs, blacked-out B-pillars and roof rails. At the rear, the car gets revised tail lamp clusters and a new rear bumper. Orange highlights can be found around the fog lamp pods, bumpers and roof rails.

On the inside, the new Kwid gets dual-tone interiors with chrome and piano black trim. The seats are wrapped in fabric upholstery, which is available in either orange or white colour. It has a new leather wrapped, 3-spoke steering wheel and a new digital instrument cluster. The car also comes equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.

The 2019 Kwid is available with two engine options, which include a 799cc, 3-cylinder engine that produces 53 BHP @ 5,678 rpm and 72 Nm @ 4,386 rpm and a 999cc, 3-cylinder unit that makes 67 BHP @ 5,500 rpm and 91 Nm @ 4,250 rpm. A 5-speed manual transmission is available as standard, while the 1.0L version gets an optional 5-speed AMT.

Standard safety features offered on the new Kwid include driver airbag, ABS with EBD, over speed alert, rear parking sensors and seat belt reminder. The passenger airbag is optional while the rear view camera with guidelines is offered on select variants.

The new Kwid is available in six colour options - Zanskar Blue, Fiery Red, Moonlight Silver, Ice Cool White, Outback Bronze and Electric Blue.
