Renault-Nissan suspends car production until further notice

Renault-Nissan India has decided to temporarily halt operations at its manufacturing plant from March 24, 2020 until further notice.

Operations at Renault-Nissan's Oragadam facility near Chennai will be shut down to contain the spread of the coronavirus. Nissan is taking all the necessary steps to safeguard the well-being and health of its employees, partners and community.

According to Renault, it has implemented several preventive measures across all its offices, dealerships and manufacturing facility and has taken steps to increase awareness. All employees at Corporate and Regional offices including Chennai, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Kolkata and Pune will continue to work from home.

Renault India will continue offer 24X7 roadside assistance to customers during this period.

Renault, Nissan and Datsun models are assembled at the Oragadam factory. The plant has an annual production capacity of 4,00,000 units.
