Renault releases image of Lodgy MPV ahead of 2015 launch

Renault has revealed that it will launch the Lodgy in India next year. The company has also released an image of the vehicle. The MPV is produced by Renault's Romanian subsidiary, Dacia and is sold with a Dacia badge in other parts of the world.

The Renault Lodgy retains the boxy body of its Dacia sibling. However, the image suggests that it gets a large chrome grille with horizontal slats and a Renault badge and a bumper with a black lower portion at the front, a chrome cladding for the lower portion of the side doors, silver roof rails and redesigned 5-spoke alloy wheels.

Coming to the interiors, the Lodgy is expected to borrow a number of components from the Duster. The Lodgy's is also likely to use the same 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine as the Duster in both 85 PS and 110 PS states of tune.

The Renault Lodgy's rivals will include the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Honda Mobilio, Chevrolet Enjoy, Mahindra Xylo and Toyota Innova.
