Royal Enfield Continental GT gets green shade; yellow dropped

Royal Enfield has introduced a new colour for the Continental GT. The cafe racer is now available in a GT Green shade, apart from GT Red and GT Black. The company has discontinued the GT Yellow paint shade in which the bike was launched.

The Continental GT is powered by a 535cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected, 4-stroke engine that develops 29 BHP @ 5,100 rpm and 44 Nm of torque @ 4,000 rpm. Transmission duties are carried out by a 5-speed gearbox. The bike has single 300 mm and 240 mm disc brakes at the front and rear respectively.

The Continental GT uses a twin downtube cradle frame chassis, engineered by Harris Performance of UK. The bike has a 41 mm fork suspension with 110 mm travel at the front and twin gas-charged Paioli shock absorbers at the rear.

Other features include clip-on handlebars, a twin-pod instrument cluster, a racing-style seat and Pirelli tubeless tyres.
