Royal Enfield Himalayan-based new model could launch in Feb

It is being said that the upcoming motorcycle could carry the "Royal Enfield Scram 411" nametag.

As per a media report, Royal Enfield could launch a new model based on the Himalayan in February 2022.

It is being said that the upcoming motorcycle could carry the "Royal Enfield Scram 411" nametag. It is expected to be positioned below the Himalayan and would be more affordable as well.

The new Himalayan-based model has been spied multiple times in the past. The motorcycle would come with a single-piece pillion grab rail, split seats, disc brakes on both ends, bash plate, telescopic front forks and rear mono-shock.

It is likely to use a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear wheel fitted with dual-purpose tyres. The riding stance would be upright and relaxed. Features such as a detailed instrument cluster, windscreen and front racks that are available on the Himalayan, would not make it to the upcoming model.

As for the engine, RE is expected to use the same 411cc, single-cylinder motor that powers the Himalayan. It is capable of delivering 24.3 BHP and 32 Nm.
