Select Skoda dealerships have reportedly started accepting bookings for the 2017 Octavia facelift. The automaker hasn't made an official announcement regarding the commencement of the bookings yet. We had earlier reported that Skoda is planning to launch the Octavia facelift in India in the third quarter of this year (July - September 2017).

The Octavia facelift has also been spotted testing in India without any camouflage. It is expected to come with a revised front fascia, which will feature new split-section headlamps and a revised bumper with a wide air dam. The higher trims are expected to come with full LED illumination for the headlights. The side profile will likely be similar to that of the current model, though Skoda might offer a new set of alloys with the facelift, while the rear will feature some subtle tweaks to the taillights and bumper.

Changes on the inside are expected to be limited to a new instrument cluster with an updated MID screen. The 2017 Octavia is also likely to get a new 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and Skoda's connect technologies.

The 2017 facelift will just be a mid-life update and thus mechanical changes aren't likely to be made. As a result, the Octavia is expected to carry on the current powertrain options - 1.4 TSI petrol with a 6-speed MT, 1.8 TSI petrol with a 7-speed DSG and 2.0 TDI diesel with a 6-speed AT.
