Rumour: 4th-gen Hyundai Tucson could be launched by July 2022

The Tucson is likely to be offered with 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and diesel engines. Higher variants could get an all-wheel-drive option.

The fourth-generation Hyundai Tucson has been testing in India for quite some time. While we still don't have an official launch date, rumours suggest that the SUV might go on sale by July 2022.

Reports also suggest that the Tucson could be offered with a 7-seat configuration this time around. The styling of the new model is based on Hyundai's Parametric dynamics philosophy, featuring half-mirror type daytime running lights integrated into the grille. The rear of the car features a full-width LED light bar with triangular tail lamp clusters.

Inside, the new Tucson gets dual 10.25-inch touchscreens and a digital instrument cluster. The SUV is also expected to come with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

The SUV is likely to be offered with 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and diesel engines paired with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. Higher variants are expected to get all-wheel drive as well.
