Rumour: BS6 Tata Hexa to launch in Q4 2020

Thanks to BHPian RavenAvi for sharing this information with other enthusiasts.

It is reported that the Tata Hexa will be offered with a BS6 compliant engine later this year. The launch of the Hexa BS6 could happen in the fourth quarter of 2020.

The BS6 Hexa is expected to come with the same 2.2-litre Varicor engine but tweaked for the updated emission norms. Exact specifications will be revealed later. The Tata Hexa is currently offered with a 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine in two states of tune. The base trim has 148 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 320 Nm @ 1500-3000 rpm. Higher variants have the same engine but with 154 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm @ 1750-2500 rpm. Transmission options include 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic.

Last year, it was rumoured that the Hexa would be discontinued and replaced with the Gravitas, but Tata later issued a statement clarifying that it would not be discontinued and that the rumours were speculation.
