Rumour: Fiat to launch 595, Punto T-Jet and Jeep this year

Italian carmaker Fiat, is rumoured to be gearing up to launch a number of new models in India in 2015. Here's a look at the company's plans.

595 Competizione Abarth: This car is the high performance sibling of the Fiat 500. It will be launched in July. The 595 Competizione Abarth is powered by a 1.4-litre, turbocharged MultiAir petrol engine that develops 158 bhp and a maximum torque of 230 Nm. The car will be available with an automated manual transmission (AMT). A manual gearbox will be offered as well.

Punto T-Jet: This car has been spotted testing on numerous occasions. It is reported to be powered by a 1.4-litre, turbocharged petrol engine that can produce close to 135 BHP. This engine will be able to give the Punto enough power to match its handling capabilities. The Punto T-Jet is expected to be launched in August or September.

Jeep: Fiat has been delaying the launch of the Jeep brand in India for a long time. However, now it seems that the company has decided to introduce it in the festive season of 2015. The models that are likely to be launched include the Cherokee and the Wrangler.
