Rumour: Husqvarna deliveries to begin in January 2020

According to a media report, Bajaj is planning to launch the Husqvarna brand in India next month and deliveries are expected commence in January 2020. The brand's first two bikes are expected to be the Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 401.

The Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 401 are based on the KTM 390 Duke. The Svartpilen 401 is Scrambler type bike, while the latter is a cafe-racer. Both bikes feature a circular LED headlamp, single-pod digital instrument cluster and come with wire-spoke wheels.

The Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 401 are reported to be powered by the 373.2 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine from the KTM 390 Duke. In the KTM, it produces 43 BHP and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox via an anti-hopping clutch.
