Rumour: Lexus NX300h to be launched on November 17, 2017

Lexus will reportedly launch a new model in India soon. The Lexus NX300h will be the Japanese brand’s fourth offering in India. It is expected to be launched on November 17, 2017.

According to a media report, we will get the latest iteration of the NX300h. The updated model features Lexus’ massive spindle grille in the front with unique triple projector headlights and LED DRL stripes on either side. The dual-tone rear bumper houses twin chrome exhausts while a set of LED tail lights extend from the wheel arches and wrap around the tail gate. The roof line ends into a subtle spoiler.

Inside, the NX300h features a three-spoke steering wheel and a twin-pod gauge cluster. The center console houses a 10.3-inch instead of a smaller 7.0-inch unit which was offered on the previous model. Apart from minor changes to centre console, the design of the analogue clock has been refined along with the remote touch interface pad which is slightly larger than the earlier model.

The media report suggests that Lexus will offer the NX300h in two variants – Luxury and F-Sport. The F-Sport variant is expected to get paddle shifters and a head-up display. It will be powered by a 2.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine driving the front wheels and an electric motor at the rear offering a combined output of 196 BHP. The powertrain is mated to a CVT and it gets full-time all-wheel drive with rear electric drive motor.
