Rumour: Tata Tiago, Tiago NRG facelift launch in June 2019

According to a media report, Tata Motors could launch the Tiago and the Tiago NRG facelift around mid-June 2019.

Both cars are likely to get exterior as well as interior updates. The exterior design is expected to be inspired by the Altroz and could get LED daytime running lights on higher variants. Inside, Tata could introduce a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity on the Tiago NRG. Besides this, safety features such as ABS, driver side airbag, high-speed warning and rear parking sensors are expected to be offered as standard across all variants.

Both the updated Tiago and Tiago NRG are likely to retain the current set of engines, which include the 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 84 BHP and 114 Nm of torque and a 1.05-litre, 3-cylinder diesel that puts out 69 BHP and 140 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options are likely to include a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT.
