Rumour: Toyota Glanza engine and variant details out

According to a media report, the Toyota Glanza is likely to be offered with two engine options and two trim levels - G and V.

The Glanza, which is a re-badged version of the Baleno, will reportedly be offered with two BS-VI compliant petrol engine options. These are the same engines that are available on the Maruti Baleno and include the 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol that produces 82 BHP and 115 Nm of torque and the 1.2-litre DualJet with a mild-hybrid system. Transmission options are likely to include a 5-speed manual and CVT.

The Glanza will reportedly come in G, G CVT, V and V CVT variants. The G trim is reportedly based on the Baleno's Zeta variant, while the V is based on the Alpha variant.

The G and V variants are expected to get features like automatic climate control, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, navigation, voice commands, height adjustable driver's seat, multi-function steering wheel and engine start/stop button. Dual-tone alloy wheels, dual airbags, ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors are also likely to be offered as standard. In addition to these features, the V variant could get UV-cut glass, auto headlights with LED daytime running lights and follow-me home functionality, LED tail lights, leather-wrapped steering wheel and rear view camera.
