The 2015 Q7 was globally revealed in December last year and within weeks, it was already caught testing on Indian soil (link to news article).

This is the second generation of this 7-seater SUV, with changes to the engines, dimensions, exteriors and more importantly, its interiors have been given a much-needed makeover. Gone is the outdated interior, which makes its way for a much more modern design (in comparison). The steering wheel appears similar to the 2015 Q3's unit, however, this one has a flatter horn pad in comparison. And yes, there are steering controls on this one! The dashboard looks quite unique with its fascia designed like a single air-vent. The dual-zone climate control buttons and display too look more modern.

The gear console now features a stubbier gear selector with the electronic handbrake and auto hold buttons behind it, and the MMI dial and the touch-sensitive writing pad in front. The MMI screen will now pop open from above the dashboard, giving it an uncluttered look otherwise.

The spotter claims that this car had testing sheets with VW stamps on it. The cars were loaded with bags and testing instruments that collected various kinds of data while on test. The Q7 also had a front camera near the Audi logo, in the grill.

The new A4 and the Q3 have also been caught on camera along with 2 Q7 test vehicles, near Valsad.
