Scoop! 2021 Ford EcoSport facelift spied for the first time

The changes made to the EcoSport look purely cosmetic and are focused mainly around the front end.

Test mules of the EcoSport facelift sporting a slew of minor changes have been spotted for the first time. This will be the popular crossover's second update for this lifecycle before the next-generation EcoSport arrives around 2023.

As expected, the changes made to the EcoSport look purely cosmetic and are focused mainly around the front end. While the shape of the grille and headlamps looks familiar, the front bumper has been completely redesigned. It features new L-shaped daytime running lights and a squarish housing for the fog lamps. Ford also seems to have adopted a new 5-spoke alloy wheel design.

The rear of the car looks identical to the current EcoSport. The interiors are reportedly similar as well.

The EcoSport facelift is likely to be offered with the same petrol and diesel engine options as the current model. The 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine produces 120 BHP and 149 Nm of torque and is paired with a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. The updated 1.5-litre diesel engine makes 99 BHP and 215 Nm and is offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
